My adult son arrived in Adult Emergency by ambulance vomiting and quite distressed. He waited about 3 hours in Adult Emergency and was told he would be seen first. Several others were seen before him. I arrived by car and took him to Mater Priority Emergency Care where he was promptly and professionally treated. I recommend avoiding this hospital in an emergency if at all possible.

My husband (Ian) came in by 7:00 a. m. on Friday 22 Sep by Ambulance. Doctors/nurses were most helpful and supportive! A Dr (Asian looking lovely young man) made me tea (I hadn't had breakfast) - we were there until late afternoon. A Senior Dr also spoke with us- (German), even had time to have a friendly chat, made us feel relaxed. Thank you so much for your time!

The waiting time is equal to if not worse than that of a 3rd world country. Waited 5 hours to see a doctor, then 2 and a half hours for the doctors report. I would recommend any other hospital for an emergency option.

My 18 yr old son arrived at triage suffering an asthma attack with inspiritory and expiritory wheezing. Before ANY action was taken, he was asked when he had last used amphetamines!!! (He has never taken drugs in his life!!) Any health professional knows ventolin (of which he had taken large doses) speeds up your heart rate! He was then told to take a seat in the waiting room which caused him even more panic!! DISGUSTING medical treatment. I have had 2cardiac arrests from asthma and know how quickly a patient can decline from asthma.
